I get an 'Unexpected error; quitting' message when running the Assistum version 4 Editor in Windows 2000/Windows XP. The standalone viewer is running perfectly. Please suggest what the problem might be? Note: You can experience the reverse of this problem, i.e. able to run the editor but not the viewer.

The problem is to do with User privileges under Windows 2000 and XP. Assistum versions older then version 5.0 require you to have an administrator-type account to run the application.

Try logging on with administrator privileges and see if the editor will run. If you cannot arrange this at your workplace then you will need to upgrade to the Version 5 software.

All versions of Assistum need to be installed with an account with administrator privileges on Windows 2000 and windows XP.
