Three Knowledge Editors

The Personal Edition, which includes the Viewer, is for the desktop user who wishes to consult departmental or corporate knowledge bases. It also enables the user to create or modify simple knowledge bases to assist their own decision-making. A download of an evaluation copy of the Personal Edition is available.
The Business Edition is for relatively small scale systems development and includes the capability to publish knowledge bases to the Internet so they can be consulted using a standard browser. The Business Edition also enables the developer to link any issue involved in the decision to a relevant source of information on the Internet or on a LAN. It is also possible to "nest" knowledge bases so that an issue in one knowledge base can call a whole knowledge base of its own to help you resolve it.

The Enterprise Edition for large scale systems development. It does all that the Business Edition does but interacts with its own knowledge server enabling multi-user editing and viewing using both the desktop and web viewers. Please contact us at info@assistum.com for further details.
 
All editions now come with Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) so knowledge bases can be easily customised and integrated with other Windows applications.

The product includes the Assistum Knowledge Viewer and the Assistum Knowledge Editor

The Assistum Knowledge Viewer allows users to consult knowledge bases relating to the issues, relationships and sources of information needed to support a business decision. When used in a decision-making process Assistum Viewer points out any inconsistencies in the conclusions reached, but leaves the user to make the final decision. The conclusions and reasons for them can be documented for future review. A number of off-the-shelf knowledge bases are available. They cover areas such as: Innovation capability, business strategy, pricing, outsourcing, and project prioritisation.

The Assistum Knowledge Editor enables the easy creation and modification of customised knowledge bases. It is invaluable to a learning organisation because it can easily capture and store new insights for future use. Microsoft VBA extensions enable the core Assistum functionality to be customised to individual customer requirements and integrated with customers systems including their Intranet.
The corporate decision-making framework encapsulated by Assistum can empower employees close to the action to make instant decisions within that context. Therefore, it speeds up decision-making, saves time and money, and improves the quality of decisions and the commitment to act on them.

Any VBA extensions written for a knowledge base will be saved with the knowledge base and will run in the Knowledge Viewer. This enables the integration of Assistum Knowledge Bases with other Windows applications.

Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) enables you to customise and integrate the Assistum knowledge engine into enterprise solutions. This is available in the Enterprise Edition.
