Instructions for using Internet Version of Assistum
1. Load the model by clicking on it (see examples)
2. Click on the node on the right hand side
This is the primary decision node - i.e. the key question. Sometimes there may be several nodes of the right hand side if the knowledge base is to help you select the most appropriate solution from a range of possibilities.
3. Double click on the first factor.
A list of "required" factors are listed. These all need to be answered before you proceed to answer the primary question.
4.Answer the question
Click and drag the slider bar or click on a button to give your answer. Then click OK. Note that if a further list of required factors are displayed, you need to answer all these before you can proceed to answer the first question.
5. Continue to answer the other questions that are highlighted "required".
6. When all the questions are answered, click on "Proceed" button.
7. Now answer the primary question and click OK
8. Compare your answer with that of Assistum
You can either accept the Assistum answer (click proceed) or proceed with your own answer - or you can reject a line of supporting logic and see what impact that has.
9. Print out the decision framework
Print it out to record the decision audit trail.
